Summer Art & Design Institute
Your Future Starts Here
The Summer Art & Design Institute (SADI) is Moore’s premiere pre-college summer program featuring popular tracks of study, including Animation, Illustration, Painting and Game Design. Are you a creative, motivated and independent young woman or non-binary student who’s currently a rising high school sophomore, junior or senior? Whether you’re new to art or an emerging artist interested in fleshing out a portfolio, SADI has an experience that’s just right for you.
“My most favorite part about SADI was that I got to meet a variety of other artists and designers. Working alongside other artists helped me learn more about my own art and the world of art itself.”

Our summer art & design program offers:
AN EXPERIENCE OF RESIDENCE LIFE
SADI students reside in Stahl Hall, located on Moore’s campus, in close proximity to classroom studios and facilities. Moore’s Residence Life staff, who live on campus, provide programming and activities geared toward personal growth. Students live in suites consisting of two double occupancy bedrooms and a shared bathroom—a sneak preview of the college experience.
EVENING & WEEKEND ACTIVITIES
Independent studio time and organized evening and weekend activities—such as field trips to galleries, city tours, performances, film screenings and shopping—enrich the SADI experience and complement coursework. Sundays are unscheduled, to allow for rest or extra studio time.
GET TO KNOW PHILADELPHIA
The surrounding city of Philadelphia is completely accessible and walkable. Moore is located in the heart of it all, surrounded by world renowned museums, restaurants and shops, as well as the beautiful Schuylkill River and scenic Fairmount Park—perfect for sketching, exercising and socializing with new friends.
FACILITIES
Laundry facilities, lounge areas and vending machines are located throughout the residence hall. Sage Dining Services creates a variety of delicious meals for students, including vegetarian and vegan options. Security and staff are on duty 24 hours a day.
SAFETY
Students may use free time as desired within the parameters of safety guidelines. For security reasons, we adhere to curfews, visitor restrictions and chaperone policies.
