Meet the Counselors

Alaina Bailey (she/her)

Admissions Counselor | Alaina is originally from Alabama and received her BA in Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. Alaina is passionate about living and working in Philadelphia, including a studio practice in painting and experimental photography. She loves working with students and talking about all things creative! She is a life-long student and loves to take classes in new mediums, and spend time in the many great cultural institutions in the city.

Zach Burden (he/him/they/them)

Graduate Studies Admissions Counselor | Zach is originally from New York, and holds a BFA in Photography from Maryland Institute College of Art and an MS in Higher Education Policy and Student Affairs from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Zach is a Student Affairs Professional and Photographic Media/Performance Artist with a strong passion for theory and working with artist communities. Outside of Moore, Zach loves reading, watching reality TV, and dancing with friends.

Sierra Conniff (she/her)

Transfer Admissions Counselor | Sierra is originally from Portland, Oregon and received a BA in Visual Studies at Tyler School of Art at Temple University. She then earned an MA in History of Art and Architecture at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She has previously worked in museum education and is passionate about helping teenagers and young adults connect to art. She lives in Philadelphia with her partner, and their grumpy tuxedo cat, Oscar. When not at Moore, she enjoys visiting art museums, cooking, and experimenting with home fermentation.

Kylie Cropper (she/her)

Admissions Counselor | Originally from the Washington DC area, Kylie received her BFA from the New Hampshire Institute of Art with a Printmaking concentration. Kylie has a passion for speaking her truth through her art as well as Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access in the arts. She enjoys working with young artists and professionals in Philadelphia and beyond! Outside of Moore, Kylie loves strolling through museums, teaching ceramics classes and has a commitment to being a lifelong student!

Madina Nakashima (she/her)

Admissions Counselor | Madina is a plein air oil painter and experimental sound designer, with a BFA in Film and Video from the Maryland Institute College of Art. After living and working in Maryland, Madina moved to Philadelphia, and is very excited to continue exploring and seeing the great art museums and galleries. When she is not at Moore, Madina loves to watch horror movies with friends, cook, go hiking, and play with her two cats, Edward and Umeboshi.

Meet the Staff

George Bierly (he/him)

Enrollment Operations Administrator | George was born in New Jersey and received his BFA in Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art. His work experience is primarily within higher education in both staff and faculty roles. His personal art practice combines drawing with learning new digital technologies. His personal interests extend to film, small-press publishing, and tabletop board games. Contact

Jonathan Squire (he/him)

Dean of Admissions | Jonathan earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Arcadia University in Glenside Pennsylvania and his Master’s degree in business administration from Rosemont College in Rosemont PA. Jonathan has worked at various historic women’s colleges including Rosemont College and Cedar Crest where he served as Director of Admission. He lives in Lansdale Pennsylvania with his wife Morgan who is an accomplished interior designer. Contact

Jasmine Zateeny (she/her)

Campus Visit Coordinator | Originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Jasmine attended Tyler School of Art at Temple University and then Maine College of Art where she received a BFA in Ceramics. Following graduation, she returned to the Philadelphia area where she worked as a studio assistant to various artists and then as the Gallery Coordinator at The Clay Studio. She loves swimming, fine dining, and enjoys any meal that someone else prepares. Contact
