Claudine Thomas has been appointed Chief Academic Officer (CAO) and Dean of the College at Moore College of Art & Design.

We sat down for a Q&A with Lillian Marcoccia ’25, an Illustration major who attended the Summer Art & Design Institute as a high school student, to learn all about her experience at SADI and how it prepared her to come to Moore for her BFA.

Julie Rainbow is a second-year MFA student in the Socially Engaged Art Program. She is a storyteller, photographer and researched-based artist who shares stories of those whose voices are not typically heard, but whose messages call out to be told. Julie’s MFA in Progress exhibit is on view December 2–9 in The Galleries at Moore.

The Galleries at Moore will combine with the Art Shop to dedicate the Window on Race Gallery to showcase alumni artwork throughout the year.

Moore is one of 394 colleges recognized for its efforts to increase nonpartisan democratic engagement in the 2022 election.

Emily Whynott is a second-year MFA student in the Socially Engaged Art program. Her studio practice uses commonplace materials to create wonky, imperfect sculptures. Her work explores the idea of how food can be used to forge connection and conversation. Emily’s MFA in Progress exhibit is on view November 12–19 in The Galleries at Moore.
