Moore's fully-funded Global Scholars Program sets high-achieving students up for success with international destinations that will enhance your education and boost your career prospects. First stop on your journey: Madrid, Spain! Costs are included in this signature travel program so that you can embark on your adventure with confidence, visiting culturally rich destinations that will build your professional acumen.

Moore’s unique Global Scholars Program will launch in the Fall 2026 and is open to incoming first-year students who meet the requirements. The first cohort will travel to Madrid in January of 2027 where you'll learn from international artists & designers and build critical skills that shape your career and craft. As a Global Scholar student at Moore, every year offers growth opportunities as you:

Year 1 – Global Immersive Experience

2027 Destination: Madrid, Spain
2027 Theme: Career Readiness

Explore the art, design and culture of Madrid, Spain while jump-starting your career between your first fall and spring semesters. This Moore-funded trip will help you build relationships and connect with like-minded creatives as you travel abroad to experience Madrid's rich history as an innovative city. 

Duration: 6–9 days

Visit world-renowned museums, meet creative professionals and gain unforgettable perspective to inspire your path at Moore and beyond. Hone your skills in teamwork, leadership and critical thinking—and have a healthy dose of fun—while collaborating across disciplines with faculty and students. Earns 1.5 open elective credits.

Year 2 – Discipline-Specific Summer Experience

Dive deeper into your major with another Moore-funded trip in your second year! This domestic summer destination will be tailored to your chosen field and provide meaningful insight that helps you build a career in your industry. Visit a destination matched to your major—like New York City's Fashion Disctrict (for Fashion Design majors), Animation Festival (for Animation & Game Arts majors) and interactive museum tours (for Entertainment Design majors).

Duration: 2–3 days

  • Faculty-led, major-specific experiences
  • Transportation, meals and overnight stay included
  • Opportunities to network with professionals in your field
Program Criteria

To be considered for the Global Scholars Program, students must have a 3.4 GPA at the time of application, which is determined through a combination of:

  • High school GPA (weighted)
  • Portfolio score
  • SAT/ACT scores (optional, if submitted)

NOTE: Students selected for Moore’s Visionary Honors Program are also included in the Global Scholars Program!
