Financial Aid
A Moore education can be more affordable than you think.
That’s because we take your finances personally. In fact, 100% of our students receive financial assistance in the form of federal aid, grants, awards and more.
The Office of Financial Aid works one-on-one with students and families so you can better understand costs and explore all available options.
Important Steps:
Estimate your costs
Every student’s financial situation is different. Our Net Price Calculator provides undergraduate students with a personalized estimate of their cost of attendance based on tuition, fees and estimated expenses such as books, supplies, a computer, transportation and health insurance.
Complete the FAFSA
Submitting the FAFSA is one of the most important steps in the financial aid process and helps determine your eligibility for federal aid. Plus, when you fill out the FAFSA, you will be eligible to receive a housing grant from Moore to help pay for housing costs. Moore’s school code is 003300. The FAFSA will open in early October.
Make an appointment with us after you complete your FAFSA
After you complete your FAFSA and receive a financial aid package from us, meet with a Financial Aid counselor to discuss costs and financing options, review your aid package and figure out your next steps.
Key Deadlines:
- October 1: FAFSA Opens. Students who complete the FAFSA will qualify for an Artist-in-Residence housing grant and receive a financial aid package from Moore.
- December 7: Early Action deadline. Students who submit their application will receive a decision by the holidays.
- March 1: Deposit deadline to receive priority housing.
- May 1: Regular deposit deadline.

- Thanks to an endowment per student ranked in the top 18% nationally and an annual budget surplus for 24 consecutive years, we can continually invest in our students and campus.
- Moore was among the top three colleges for financial viability in a 2024 Philadelphia Inquirer analysis of small, private colleges and universities in the region.
- Moore was also recognized by The Philadelphia Business Journal in 2024 for its application and enrollment growth over the last 10 years.
Housing That Feels Like Home
Moore is one of the only art and design colleges in the nation to guarantee four years of housing to all students, placing them steps away from classrooms, studios, essential amenities and cultural landmarks.
Our students live across three conveniently located dorms:
- Stahl Hall: Connected to Moore's main buildings and features updated bathrooms in every suite, as well as a penthouse lounge with a kitchenette and TV.
- Sartain Hall: Located one block from campus and features single, double and quadruple rooms, as well as a first-floor lounge.
- Rittenhouse Hall: Moore's newest residence hall in Rittenhouse Square, highlighted by luxury apartment-style living, in-unit laundry and central air conditioning. Rittenhouse Hall is primarily for juniors and seniors.

Safety, Health and Wellness
Your student's safety and well-being are top priorities at Moore. With 24/7 security coverage and swipe access at every building, our campus is protected around the clock. Trained residence directors and resident assistants live onsite to help with any questions or issues.
We reinforce student well-being with on-campus health and counseling services, 24/7 virtual care and free Planet Fitness memberships. A dedicated CARE (Campus Assessment, Response and Evaluation) Team helps ensure the welfare of the campus community.
