Our Spring 2022 New Student Orientation programming offered opportunities for new and transfer students to learn more about the resources and support offered at Moore, as well as ways to engage with other students through our student leadership opportunities.

We were excited to welcome students to campus on Friday, January 14, 2022 at our Welcome from Student Affairs event. After the welcoming event, students had a meet and greet dinner with our Residence Life and Housing staff. New students received Moore tote bags, featuring artwork from Makaela Ramirez ’21 (featured in the image above!) and filled with other Moore themed gifts.

Saturday’s programming consisted of opportunities for new students to engage with our student leaders for some fun online games. Student leaders also provided tips and strategies to new students for navigating around campus. Sunday’s programming included informational sessions led by our Student Affairs team regarding commuter resources, student leadership opportunities and diversity, equity and inclusion resources.

Monday concluded with our MLK Day of Service event with the greater Moore student body. Students were able to hear more about philanthropy and the impact that philanthropy has had at Moore. Students were also given resources to support Black philanthropists in Philadelphia. In addition, students had the opportunity to engage in a community service activity which allowed them to create notes and art work for senior citizens. Lastly, the day ended with a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. reflection in collaboration with Girard College.

We are looking forward to seeing our new students succeed at Moore!
