On Friday, May 10, six seniors in Moore's Fashion Design program presented their outstanding final collections at the College's annual Fashion Show. The show also featured four costumes created by 11 Fashion Design juniors in collaboration with the Philadelphia Ballet.

During the fall 2023 semester, students began working with the organization to conceptualize and design costumes inspired by George Balanchine's The Nutcracker®. After four final designs based on the characters of Hot Chocolate, Coffee, Candy Cane and Tea were chosen, students worked in teams to bring their ideas to life.

With the guidance of devoted faculty and staff from Moore and the Philadelphia Ballet, these rising fashion design stars learned to incorporate comfort, movement, and visual flair into their designs. In January 2024, dancers from the Philadelphia Ballet II company performed at Moore in the ensembles for the opening of the exhibition Reimagining a Holiday Classic: Costume Designs Inspired by The Nutcracker®.
