Moore College of Art & Design’s Comics Expo returns for its second year on Saturday, March 29, 2025, bringing together students, faculty, alumni and the community to celebrate comics, illustration, and the power of visual storytelling.

This year’s event poster is a true showcase of Moore talent and beyond, created through a collaboration between renowned cartoonist and graphic novelist (and former Young Artists Workshop instructor) Jamar Nicholas; Illustration students Lee Tew ‘25, Malayna Diplacido ‘26, Kira Rassa 26 and Libby Kercher ‘26; Illustration alumni Catherine Epps ‘21 and Reg O’Connell ‘19; and Moore faculty Richard Harrington, Joe Kulka, Stephen Wood.

O’Connell, Moore’s social media coordinator and a participating vendor at the 2025 Comics Expo, says he enjoyed the opportunity to contribute vibrant characters to the piece.

“It was so much fun working on the poster alongside such incredible artists,” O’Connell said. Seeing the whole piece come together was amazing, and I love how it highlights such a wide range of comic styles.”

The 2025 Comics Expo is free and open to the public, featuring dozens of professional illustrators from Moore and the Philadelphia area.
