Moore graduate Christa Faas ’21 Graphic Design’s thesis project Room 232: Hotels & Escapism was selected to be published in the graphic design publication Creative Quarterly. The same project also won an award of excellence for the UCDA Design Awards earlier this year.

A complete list of winners is posted online. Faas’s project will be published in Creative Quarterly 66, due out in May 2022. The gallery will also be published online.

Room 232: Hotels & Escapism is a concept-based publication centered around the metaphorical significance of hotels in current culture. The book highlights the ideas of romance, rendezvous and rejuvenation through the grand scope of escapism and liminal space.

Faas was the 2021 class valedictorian. See her Senior Show exhibition here.
