PHILADELPHIA (April 16, 2025)—Moore College of Art & Design (“Moore”) has announced that it will officially take over transcript services for University of the Arts, continuing its dedication to supporting Philadelphia’s creative community. Effective April 7, 2025, Moore will process transcripts for University of the Arts alumni and former students, ensuring that their academic achievements remain accessible.
The transition follows the closure of University of the Arts in 2024. As custodian of the institution’s academic records, Moore College of Art & Design is committed to preserving the integrity of these documents and serving the needs of the broader arts community.
"We recognize the immense contributions University of the Arts has made to Philadelphia’s artistic legacy,” said Claudine Thomas, chief academic officer, Moore College of Art & Design. “By stepping into this role, Moore is not only safeguarding academic records but also ensuring former students can access their information with ease.”
Moore College of Art & Design has consistently demonstrated its dedication to the creative community in Philadelphia, particularly during times of transition. Following the closures of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Delaware College of Art and Design and University of the Arts, Moore supported art and design students to ensure continuity in their educational journeys. By assuming custodianship of University of the Arts’ academic records, Moore continues to play a vital role in preserving these transcripts of the institution while fostering new opportunities for the next generation of artists and designers.
Transcript requests will be facilitated through Parchment, an established digital credential service. While Moore assumes responsibility for transcripts, replacement diplomas for University of the Arts will not be issued.
