Moore College of Art & Design’s newly announced student housing at 1831 Chestnut Street was recently featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal, spotlighting the College’s commitment to providing students with an exceptional living and learning experience in the heart of Philadelphia.
The article highlights how the new residence hall, called Rittenhouse Hall, will expand Moore's student housing by 33%. It will provide Moore students with fully furnished apartments, modern amenities and dedicated community spaces designed to support connection and creativity. Located just a seven-minute walk from Moore’s campus, the building will offer students a safe, comfortable and inspiring place to call home, enhancing their college experience in Center City.
Moore President Cathy Young also spoke with the publication, emphasizing the financial stability that allowed Moore to acquire the building. She also said the building “could not be more well suited for students.”
"I think we have a business model that works at our size and our financial health allowed us to have the resources to purchase the building outright," Young said.
