Moore College of Art & Design, a leading art college in Philadelphia, was recently featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal for its notable increase in applications and enrollment in the past decade.
Moore's financial health is demonstrated in the endowment per student that ranks in the top 18% nationally. The College has also boasted an annual budget surplus for the past 23 years. As a top art college in Philadelphia, Moore is continuing its historic growth with new academic offerings, additional staff and faculty, and expanded class sections to accommodate new students while maintaining our 7:1 faculty-to-student ratio.
The publication used data from the U.S. Department of Education to analyze enrollment and application trends for Philadelphia-area colleges. Over the past 10 years, Moore achieved a 117% increase in first-year applications, growing from 609 in 2014 to 1,322 in 2023. First-year enrollment also saw a 24% increase during this period, climbing from 87 to 108 students. Moore, the only independent art and design college on the list, saw the third highest increase in enrollment from 2014 to 2023.
