PHILADELPHIA (April 16, 2025)—Moore College of Art & Design (“Moore”) announced it will host its 2025 Fashion Show, led by fashion legend Adrienne Vittadini ‘66 and design expert Christina Gorman ‘92, on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 5:30 to 9 pm. Held at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, this year’s Fashion Show will showcase the talent and creativity of the Class of 2025’s Fashion Design students. The event will feature newly created pieces from 11 Fashion Design seniors, providing them with a unique opportunity to present their work in a high-profile, professional setting.

The Fashion Show, a long-standing Moore tradition, includes a runway show, a VIP event for donors and sponsors and a silent auction featuring exclusive jewelry and accessories created by Moore alumni, supporting the College’s mission to fund scholarships for future students across all majors.

Vittadini, an internationally renowned fashion designer and artist, will serve as the Fashion Show’s honorary chair, while Gorman, senior vice president of design for interactive television at Xcel Brands, will lend her expertise and industry insight to the event as chair. Ken Downing, chief creative officer of Xcel Brands and creative director of HALSTON, will emcee the event.

“We are thrilled to celebrate our students and showcase their growth through Moore’s Fashion Design program. From classroom sketches to museum exhibitions and critiques with industry leaders, our students fully immerse themselves in the creative process, honing their skills and preparing them for successful careers in fashion,” said Cathy Young, president, Moore College of Art & Design. “Events like the Fashion Show are made possible through the dedication of our alumni and supporters, whose generosity ensures that future students have access to scholarships and transformative opportunities. This is more than a runway showit’s a celebration of talent, community and the limitless possibilities ahead for Moore’s fashion designers.”

The students, all poised to enter the fashion industry, worked tirelessly to create collections that speak to their individual design aesthetics. Through this process, they met the rigorous demands of the Fashion Design curriculum, ensuring they are well-prepared for their careers.

“The Fashion Show is the culmination of years of training, both technically and creatively. Our students develop advanced skills in garment construction, textile innovation and conceptual design, and this event allows them to demonstrate their abilities on the runway,” said Claudine Thomas, Chief Academic Officer, Moore College of Art & Design. Presenting a full collection in a professional fashion show mirrors the industry experience they will soon step into, preparing them to launch their careers with confidence. This show is a testament to their hard work, dedication and future success.”
