PHILADELPHIA (April 1, 2026)—Creating a bridge to bachelor’s degree attainment for local students, Moore College of Art & Design and Delaware County Community College (DCCC) signed a new articulation agreement that will allow students to transfer seamlessly to Moore to complete their bachelor’s degrees.
Under the agreement, signed in December 2025, students who earn an associate in fine arts (AFA) degree in Art – Studio at DCCC will be eligible to transfer into Moore’s bachelor of fine arts (BFA) program in the Fine Arts major with junior-level standing. The agreement is designed to ensure a smooth transition of credits and a clear academic pathway, enabling students to continue their education without interruption.
“Moore is proud to partner with Delaware County Community College to create a streamlined and supportive pathway for transfer students pursuing a bachelor's degree in fine arts,” said Claudine Thomas, Chief Academic Officer, Moore College of Art & Design. “This agreement reflects our shared commitment to access, academic excellence and preparing students for successful creative careers by recognizing their prior coursework and welcoming them into Moore’s rigorous Fine Arts program.”
The new Fine Arts agreement builds on an existing articulation agreement between Moore and DCCC for Graphic Design students, further expanding opportunities for DCCC graduates to pursue advanced study in the visual arts at Moore.
"This transfer agreement is an exceptional opportunity for our students to continue their fine art studies within a renowned institution such as Moore College of Art & Design, nestled among other culturally rich establishments including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Rodin Museum, Barnes Foundation, Calder Gardens, PAFA Museum and others,” said Jaime Treadwell, MFA, Professor of Art & Design and Program Coordinator of Foundations and Studio Art, Delaware County Community College.
Moore currently holds articulation agreements with ten local community colleges, including DCCC, to facilitate the transfer of credits to Moore. Students who successfully meet the requirements set by the agreement with their current college will earn the option to transfer to Moore College of Art & Design at an advanced level upon enrollment.
