“Fashion has the unique ability to help us connect with others, allowing us to see people in a way that they want to be seen,” said Cecelia Fitzgibbon, President of Moore College of Art & Design. “This year, as we come together again in-person for Moore’s 2022 Fashion Show, we will have the privilege to see the collections that our talented Fashion Design seniors have worked so hard to create, under such extreme circumstances, and to understand the connection between their designs and who they are as people. It is so exciting to have the opportunity to share this important milestone with members and supporters of the Moore community.”

“Moore’s annual Fashion Show is such a significant event for the College community, and even more so this year, as the first one since the pandemic began,” said Daniel Velasco, Fashion Design program head at Moore. “The past two years have been especially challenging for young designers pursuing their education. On behalf of the Fashion Design department, we applaud our graduating seniors for persevering and creating final collections they can be proud to display.”

The work of the graduating seniors, leading up to Moore’s 2022 Fashion Show, has been overseen this semester by visiting professor and 2010 Moore alumna Dom Streater. As a two-time Project Runway winner and founder of an eponymous fashion brand, Streater has shared much of her in-depth experience with Moore’s seniors, in order to help them create vibrant and dynamic final collections and to bring the 2022 Fashion Show to life.

“As a graduate of Moore’s Fashion Design program, I understand firsthand the impact that this Fashion Show has on the creative growth and development of these bright young individuals,” said Streater. “It’s an absolute privilege to give back to the place that gave me so much by mentoring and supporting the next generation of Fashion Design students as they prepare to show their boundary-breaking creations with the world.”

Tickets for Moore College of Art & Design’s 2022 Fashion Show are now available at $45 for advance general admission, $55 at the door, and $200 for VIP seats and parking. A special invite-only pre-show reception at the Barnes will be hosted by Citi. For more information and to purchase tickets to the show, visit moore.edu/fashionshow2022
