The Philadelphia Inquirer recently spoke with Illustration professor Rich Harrington about his latest comic and the upcoming Comics Expo this month at Moore College of Art & Design.

Harrington and writer Don Steinberg are the founders of Boink Comix, an independent comic book and zine publisher based in Philadelphia. Their latest work, Cereal, is a six-part thriller series set in the breakfast cereal industry.

Harrington also spoke about the inaugural Comics Expo at Moore, taking place on Saturday, April 13 from 10 am to 5 pm. The event will feature a keynote talk from comic book artist Mike Hawthorne, who has worked for both DC and Marvel, on titles like Batman, Wonder Woman, Deadpool, Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy and more. The event will also highlight work from emerging graphic novelists, cartoonists, and indie publishers from the area.

"We hope to provide an event where student, novice and more established cartoonists can show and sell their work, raise their visibility and expand their network," Harrington told the outlet.
