Jean Drumm, a 1987 Moore grad, is an adjunct instructor who teaches Introduction to Art Therapy and Behavioral Health in the Classroom.
"I work with students attending the Master's in Education program, the undergraduate program and the post-baccalaureate program. I have a Master's Degree in Creative Art Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University. I am a Board Certified Art Therapist as well as a Pennsylvania Licensed Professional Counselor.
"Besides teaching at Moore, I am a mental health counselor, with experience working with individuals of varied ages and concerns, including extensive experience working within the school setting, providing mental health services to individuals and behavioral consultation for teachers and school leadership.
"I very much enjoy working with the fantastic Art Education students of Moore, as they are truly dedicated to their journey of becoming inspirational teachers. Within my role as instructor, I believe it is imperative to prepare the teachers of tomorrow, not only with the pragmatic tools needed to best teach, but also to instill the qualities of love and empathy in their everyday approach.
"When I'm not teaching or supporting individuals in their journey toward mental health and well-being, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my husband, Bart; my teenage sons, Luke and Jude; my toothless cat, Nola; Emily the turtle; and a very hyper, cheese-loving dog named Roxy!"
