Ken Downing, chief creative officer of Xcel Brands and creative director of HALSTON, emceed the evening with exuberance and industry insight.
Following the runway show, attendees heard from President Cathy Young, who wore a custom design by Fashion Design alumna and founder of AHLAI Alyssa Mapp ’14. Young spoke on the creativity and drive of the Class of 2025’s Fashion Design students, whom she described as “future fashion superstars.”
“Our talented Fashion Design seniors have bright futures ahead, and we can’t wait to see all that they will accomplish and to cheer them on as they take their places in the exciting world of fashion design,” she said.
