Chenoa Baker
Adjunct in Creative & Critical Studies, curated the solo exhibition Ifé Franklin at the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, MA. The exhibition will run from March 6 to September 12, 2027, with an opening reception on March 6, 2027. She received the NCECA Multicultural Fellowship and served as the keynote speaker for the Small Museum Association Conference in York, PA on February 18, 2026.

Department Head and Associate Professor in Film & Digital Cinema (FDC), presented her 2025 16mm film pressing at the Light Matter Film Festival (New York), Maryland Film Festival, Beijing International Short Film Festival, and Enguage Experimental Film Festival (Seattle, WA). Additional screenings included A Different Story at the Light Matter Film Festival; She/They Said at the Maryland Film Festival; Phase: Reflection on Feminism Images at the Beijing International Short Film Festival; Bodies in Space and Time at the Enguage Experimental Film Festival and the Lausanne Underground Film and Music Festival (Switzerland); If the Light Had Skin at the Elevation Film Festival (Cornwall, UK); Quantum Intimacies at Millennium Film Workshop (New York City); and K!ART x Jenny Gräf Sheppard: Visitations Ungdomsøen.
In April 2026, she exhibited work In The Presence of Form at Lagerhalle in Osnabrück, Germany, as part of the European Media Arts Festival, and presented Hang on a Minute: Much Madness at KASKCINEMA during the Courtisane Festival in Ghent, Belgium. Additional Spring 2026 screenings included Hiding Places at the Cosmic Rays Film Festival (North Carolina), In My Bones at the Athens International Film + Video Festival (Ohio), and With Holding at Kinonik (Portland, Oregon). In July 2026, her work was featured in A Thing Brilliant and Powerful: Films on Gesture, Paint, and Painting at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA).
Andrea Beizer, RA, NCIDQ
Adjunct Faculty in Interior Design, participated in the group exhibition Retrospective of Pan Am Cartoons by Hank Syverson at the Pan Am Museum, New York, from July 24 through September 30, 2026. Beizer's cartoon strip Alice, syndicated by King Features Syndicate since 2023, was also accepted into the permanent collection of the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum in Columbus, Ohio.

Daniel Fishel
Adjunct Professor in Communication Arts and Illustration, is one of twenty-three illustrators featured in Melodies of The Weary Blues, a collection of classic Langston Hughes poems for young readers published by HarperCollins. His illustration accompanies one of the poems in the volume.
Sarah Conrad Gothie, PhD
Adjunct Faculty in Creative and Critical Studies, published “A Recipe for Beans (Without the Beans),” a creative nonfiction micro-essay, in The Recipes Project (Spring 2026). She was also awarded a 2026 Heid Research Fellowship from the University of Michigan Special Collections Research Center in support of research for History You Can Taste: How Jan Longone Used Cookbooks to Tell America’s Story, a middle-grade narrative nonfiction book exploring the life and legacy of historian, curator, and philanthropist Janice Bluestein Longone.
Asuka Goto
Associate Professor of Fine Arts, completed a four-week residency at Surf Point in York, Maine in August 2025. Her artist book To Send a Telegram was acquired by the Mahn Center for Archives and Special Collections at Ohio University.
Arthur Haywood
Adjunct Professor in Illustration, exhibited work in the group exhibition The Secret Show at The Jane Gallery in Philadelphia in February 2026 and unveiled Freedom Across Civilizations, a solo installation at the Penn Museum in Philadelphia that entered the museum's permanent collection. His public art project Stars of Philadelphia, sponsored by Mural Arts Philadelphia and installed at the Tiger Woods Foundation Learning Lab at Cobbs Creek Golf Course, features portraits of Johnny McDermott, Dawn Staley, Kobe Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain, Charlie Sifford, Tina Fey, Will Smith, Patti LaBelle, Questlove, and Eve.
Haywood also contributed illustrations to I Bet You Can 5e, published by Editions Magnard-Vuibert-Delagrave; exhibited Dragon Tales and Soaring Sky in Before the Streetlights Come On: Kid-Lit Celebrates Summer at Nooks Bookstore in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and participated in the Philly Has Heart podcast's “Motherhood Series: How to Raise a Creative” with Julie Haywood.

James Johnson, MFA
Professor of Photography and Chair of Foundation, exhibited work in the group show Of the Grid at the Pearlstein Gallery at Drexel University in Philadelphia. The exhibition ran from October 14 to December 15, 2025, with a reception held on October 16, 2025. The show received a review by alum Logan Cryer in the journal Teleporter.
Leslie McShane Lodwick, PhD
Visiting Faculty in Creative and Critical Studies, authored the book chapter “Systematizing Whiteness: Modular Number Patterns and Suburban School Planning” in The Combinatorial Imperative, edited by Jennifer Mack and Pablo Miranda and published by TU Delft/Jap Sam. She also published the book review “The Shape of Utopia: The Architecture of Radical Reform in Nineteenth-Century America” in Visual Studies Journal (October 3, 2025), and will present conference papers at the Learnings / Unlearnings Conference (September 2026) in London and Domesticity in Educational Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, Universitat Politècnica València (January 2027).
Shawn David McGhee, PhD
Adjunct Professor of Creative and Critical Studies, published the article “The American Princeps Civitatis: Precedent and Protocol in the Washingtonian Republic” in the Journal of the American Revolution on January 22, 2026 (Westholme Publishing). During 2025, he presented original research at the Washington Crossing American Revolution Roundtable and at the New Jersey Council for the Social Studies Conference at Rutgers University. He also published three additional articles in the 2026 annual print volume of the Journal of the American Revolution.
McGhee appeared on several radio programs, YouTube shows, and podcasts discussing his research, and he is currently writing his second book, Baptized in the Blood of Men: The Battle of Red Bank in Historical Memory.

Christina Rosso-Schneider
Adjunct Professor in Creative and Critical Studies, announced that Publisher’s Marketplace has confirmed the publishing deal for her debut folk horror novel THE LAST SHEAF, which is scheduled for release by Blackstone Publishing in Fall 2027.
Lauren Stichter
Director and Associate Professor of Art Education, participated in the Moore College of Art & Design 2026 Faculty Triennial Exhibition and received the 2026 Autistic Art Coalition of Philadelphia: Neuroinclusion & Neurodiversity Award. During the 2025-26 academic year, she presented at the annual conferences of the Pennsylvania Art Education Association and the National Art Education Association, facilitated professional development and a Practical Tools for Equitable Spaces workshop at the Rhode Island School of Design, led an Accessible Artmaking workshop for the Bartol Foundation, and provided professional development on accessibility in arts education for the Rose Tree Media School District.

Interdisciplinary Adjunct professor, participated in the group exhibition The Art-Led Interior, presented by Wexler Gallery at the New York Design Center in New York City from September 18 to December 31, 2025. The exhibition included Ujiie's Homo-erotic Wall Covering Original Wallpaper.
Jon Di Venti
Adjunct Professor of Illustration, was commissioned to create an illustrated version of the Interstate Batteries’ live-action mascot, “Mr. Dependable,” for use in their print and social media advertising.
Christopher Williams
Assistant Professor in Illustration and Foundation, exhibited work in Voices of Joy, a satellite show of the Art of the African Diaspora exhibition at the Richmond Art Center. Williams has recently completed his latest series of hope healing and wellness paintings for the Alameda Wellness Center in Alameda, California. These four seven-foot-tall oil paintings were unveiled early April to welcome new residents and staff.

Assistant Professor of Graphic Design, received a winner designation for the exhibition catalog Make or Break: Creativity as an Act of Survival, which was featured in Creative Quarterly Issue 81, launched on January 16, 2025. The catalog was also named a finalist in the Communication Arts Design Annual 2025.
