Working for a company that launches satellites into space wasn’t something Katie Woods, a 2018 Animation & Game Arts grad, ever thought she would do.

“The woman sitting next to me offered me an orange and introduced herself,” Christie Carrozza said. “She said ‘I’m 37 years old and I’m retired.’ How do you do that?”

The annual exhibition, in its twentieth year, showcases the work of emerging sculptors, and highlights the achievements and artistic merit of artists from five Philadelphia colleges and universities.

The foundation celebrates excellence in education. The prizes have been given to elementary, middle and high school teachers since 2008.
