Health & Wellness Services

Health Services is staffed by the Director of Health Services who is available from 9 am to 3 pm. Over-the-counter health supplies, such as bandages, ice packs and cold relief medication, can be found here. For physicians’ services, the Nurse, who is the Director of Health Services will refer students to area physician offices.

For counseling support, our Counseling Services Department takes student appointments on-site and can also refer students to outside therapists. Any charges incurred in outside counseling are the responsibility of the student. Schedule an appointment with the Counseling Services Department.

Mental Health Counselors are available for a total of 40 hours throughout the week. Counseling Services are available when classes are in session during the fall and spring semesters only. The director of Health Services and the Counseling Services Department can be found on the first floor of Stahl Hall. Counseling Services hours are Monday through Friday, 11 am – 7 pm.

Mental Health Support Groups

Our Mental Health Counselors also lead two weekly mental health support groups. On Wednesdays, students can join our Journaling Group from 2:30pm – 3:30pm in the Writers Studio in the Connelly Library. These workshops encourage participants to engage in journaling to discover more of their own voice and their path towards a natural state of inner peace. Journals and pens are provided to students who attend with the intention of motivating students to journal regularly. On Thursday nights, Students are encouraged to attend our Exploring Somatics group from 6:00pm – 7:00pm. In this group, somatic tools and writing prompts are used to explore where emotions and traumas live in our bodies. Our mental health support groups take place in Stahl Hall room 100.
