WELLNESS AT MOORE

Supporting Students Today—
So They Are Ready for Tomorrow

Today’s Moore students are walking a familiar path—pursuing creative excellence and career preparation—but in a world that feels faster and more demanding than ever.

At Moore, we know students can’t focus on their studies—or the careers those studies make possible—when concerns about tuition, food security, or anxiety stand in the way.

That’s why we invest in student wellness as a foundation for student success.

“Moore is not like all colleges. It’s more open and accepting.”

See how every gift strengthens student well-being across multiple dimensions.

To show how these supports work together, we created the Moore Wellness Wheel—a visual tool that reflects the full student experience and the interconnected resources that make student well-being possible.

The Wheel highlights eight dimensions of wellness and shows how your generosity strengthens the support students need to persist, graduate, and thrive.

You can explore the Wellness Wheel digitally—or print it to keep as a simple guide to holistic well-being.

“I’ve taken advantage of a lot of the support services here, and that’s been really helpful in my transition because I feel that it was more personalized. I’ve gone to the Locks Career Center a million times, and they’ve helped me so much and made me feel more confident.”

“I’m so proud of the community I built here. The people I met encouraged me to become a better artist, whether it was my professors or my peers. I made a lot of lifelong connections during my time here, and I’m so grateful that I came here and met the people I did — I don’t think I’d change anything about it.”

Why Wellness Matters

When students feel supported—physically, emotionally, financially, and academically—they are better equipped to:

  • stay enrolled
  • complete their degrees
  • take advantage of career-building opportunities
  • graduate with confidence and momentum

Student wellness isn’t separate from career readiness—it makes it possible.

“During finals season, I got the flu and found myself in the nurse’s office like the whole week. Moore's on-campus nurse really stood up for me and helped me secure a doctor’s appointment. She was really the reason why I could finish my finals and not be so stressed about them. She even asked if she could come to one of my finals when we were presenting them at the Franklin Institute. Her support gave me a great sense of community.”
