Join Moore College of Art & Design's Fashion Design program and the Philadelphia Ballet for a captivating evening that celebrates the fusion of fashion and performance. For the third year of this collaboration, six talented Fashion Design students designed alongside professionals from the Philadelphia Ballet to create costumes inspired by Maurice Ravel's Bolero. From first sketches to final stitches, these one-of-a-kind designs will come to life on stage during a live performance by Philadelphia Ballet dancers.
Following the performance, join a thought-provoking conversation moderated by President Cathy Young. This discussion will feature three distinguished panelists: Holly Hynes, an acclaimed costume designer known for her work with leading ballet companies worldwide; Jennifer Tierney, wardrobe manager for the Philadelphia Ballet; and Morgan Porter, adjunct professor of Fashion Design at Moore. Panelists will share their experiences, discuss the evolving needs of the costume design industry, and provide guidance for aspiring designers preparing for successful careers in fashion and costume design. Register below by February 20.
