11 Moore College of Art & Design students and alumni will have their textile designs featured in a pop-up exhibition at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, PA. The exhibition, titled Liberties Reimagined: Surrealism in Textile Design, aligns with the museum’s “Year of Free Speech.”

The pop-up was organized in part by Heather Ujiie, interdisciplinary associate professor in Fashion and Textile Design at Moore. Students from her “Drawing & Painting into Pattern” class during the Spring 2024 semester were asked to create surrealist motifs around the theme of “liberty” and turn them into textiles.

The exhibition will open on November 15, 2024, from 3-5 p.m. and will be remain on view through January 6, 2025. Moore students, faculty and staff who want to visit the exhibition will receive free admission with their Moore ID!
