In collaboration with the Galleries' Faculty Triennial, the Connelly Library will be hosting an exhibit on the Galleries' Philadelphia Wall and in the Connelly Library called Faculty Flashback: Henry Snell on view January 20–March 18. Through this exhibit we seek to shine a light on an important past member of Moore's faculty who was committed to preparing students for careers in the arts. Henry Snell was a beloved instructor of Water Color from 1898-1943 at the Philadelphia School of Design (now Moore College of Art and Design) and taught many of the students who would become known as the Philadelphia Ten. The Philadelphia Wall (ground floor Sarah Peter) will feature oil paintings by Henry Snell and a portrait of him by one of his students. Additional ephemera related to Henry Snell from the Connelly Library's archives will be on display in the library.
