Bring your lunch and feed your brain at an Art at Lunch lecture with artist Charlyn Magdaline Griffith Oro. Join us on Thursday, February 17 from 11:30 - 12:30 pm on Zoom or in Fox Commons.

Charlyn’s current work is a literal and performative series of sculptures. They create an accounting system for the many names, images and stories that emerge as they engage with the past. They create new artifacts which represent the nuance of various tools and seemingly mundane everyday items through their use of cowries as embellishments. Through these works they also bring voice to those who have been left out of historical accounts. These contemporary heirlooms stand in place for the items stolen and held by institutions like museums and libraries.
