Join us on Monday, February 10 at noon for a virtual Alumni Artist Talk with Dominique Evans ‘18 and Katie Woods ‘18. Evans and Woods will sit down with professor of Art History and Humanities and curator Jonathan Wallis to discuss their creative journeys and current projects, including their featured work in Fantasy’s Spell: The Art of Enchantment, on view in the Alumni Gallery from January 25 through March 1.
Dominique Evans ’18 (Illustration) has a fascination for visual storytelling through worldbuilding and a passion for expressive use of color. After a brief stint of service work through Americorps, Dominique entered the animation industry as a visual development artist for Nickelodeon and continues to seek out work that allows her to design and develop fantasy and sci-fi projects from the ground up.
Katie Woods ’18 (Animation & Game Arts) is a Senior Motion Designer and Illustrator based in San Diego, CA, with a passion for fun characters, bright colors, and personality-driven motion graphics. In addition to their role at Aya Healthcare, Katie works as an independent creator, crafting animations and storyboards for clients like Planned Parenthood, Cubic Orange, and Viasat. Her work includes projects such as animating promotional videos for Dungeons & Dragons: Spelljammer and designing in-game graphics for Madden 2023.
