A Lived Thesis event presented by Jenny Yim MFA '23, Socially Engaged Studio Art.
In this program, Jenny Yim will discuss her journey with experimenting with AI art for her thesis show at Moore. This will involve a slideshow, talk and gameshow segment, to demonstrate the use of AI art in visual arts, and how it affects critical thinking in art pedagogy.
Yim will show how adaptive AI engines have been, especially with visual arts, through a segmented game show called, "Is It AI or Is It Art?" Yim will discuss her journey with experimenting with AI art for her thesis show at Moore and her own perspectives on how AI software fits into art pedagogy, and how it can affect the demand for critical thinking and problem-solving in education and jobs.
