On Saturday, May 11 at 11 am, Moore will hold its 175th Commencement at the Kimmel Center to honor the Class of 2024. Graduating students, along with their families and friends are invited to hear congratulations from college leaders and faculty, the Valedictorian, and a presentation of an Honorary Degree.

The keynote speaker at our historic 175th Commencement ceremony will be Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle L. Parker.

Mayor Parker, the 100th mayor of Philadelphia and the first woman to ever hold the position, will address the graduating Class of 2024 on Saturday, May 11 and will receive an honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts degree from Moore, the first and only historically all-women’s art and design college in the nation.

"Moore College of Art & Design has played an important role in shaping Philadelphia’s cultural heritage by fostering the creativity and innovation of our young people—many of whom would not otherwise have the opportunity to study art and design," said Mayor Cherelle L. Parker. "I am deeply honored to receive this degree and to address the graduates of the Class of 2024 as they celebrate their achievements and look ahead to the next phase of their lives."
