Film & Digital Cinema (required)
A Film & Digital Cinema co-op allows you to step out of the classroom and into production houses, sound studios, editing houses, media departments, sports arenas and more for real-world experience.

Complete a co-op of your choosing during the Spring semester of your junior year

Co-ops take the place of two Film & Digital Cinema courses in your Spring courseload, allowing you to earn a total of six credits

The amount of time spent completing the co-op should be equivalent to time spent on two courses

Not all co-op experiences are guaranteed to be paid
Photography (optional)
Work alongside an industry professional and get crucial, on-the-job experience to develop the skills you need to succeed.

Complete a semester-long co-op of your choosing

Co-ops take the place of two Photography electives in your courseload, allowing them to earn a total of six credits

Submit a prospectus form to the Chair of the department detailing the scope of the co-op opportunity

You must obtain at least five of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Career Readiness Competencies through your co-op: Career Development, Communication, Critical Thinking, Equity & Inclusion, Leadership, Professionalism, Teamwork and Technology

You must complete 75 hours of work with your co-op host and give a public presentation on your experience during BFA Final Exams & Critiques
