Study Abroad & International Opportunities
STUDY ABROAD
Since 1899, Moore has expanded its students’ intercultural knowledge through travel and study opportunities to global destinations. For two weeks every January, destinations like Rome, Berlin, Paris, London, Mexico, Morocco, Athens and Granada (all past trips!) become the perfect playground for your career-ready skills and you'll earn credit while you’re at it. In January 2027, students will get to pick between Kyoto or Tokyo, Japan!
Venice
In January 2025, students traveled to Venice, Italy, for Moore Than Venice: Days of Futures Past, diving deep into centuries of decorative arts and turning their inspiration into new work.
Thanks to scholarships and fellowships, every student gets a shot at study abroad experiences. Brielle Green ’27, a Fine Arts major who scored the Happy Fernandez International Study Scholarship for Venice, says it best:
“[This trip] gave me the opportunity to expand on my craft and express myself. I appreciate that Moore doesn’t hold anyone back from their creativity or doing the things they want to do.”
Study abroad experiences are known to enhance skills that are valued by companies looking to hire college graduates. According to NAFSA: the Association of International Educators, an employer survey found that 44% of respondents said they were much more likely to hire a candidate with a global learning experience that included exposure to diverse perspectives.
GLOBAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM
We created the Global Scholars Program in 2025 to expose high-achieving students to cultural and artistic experiences in new places. Moore provides every Global Scholar with the opportunity to travel in their first and second years with support that allows them to grow professionally and personally, build networking connections, and prepare for the global creative economy.
MOBILITY PROGRAMS
Moore students can access additional opportunities for international study through mobility programs that are offered. Moore College of Art & Design participates in the mobility program of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD). This is an informal relationship through which undergraduate students from Moore may spend one semester at a member institution. The Mobility program is open to students in their junior year. The student pays tuition to Moore, not the host institution, and must finance her own room and board. While there are a number of member institutions in the United States, the Canadian affiliates are as follows:
