  • Preferred Pronouns: she/her/hers

Lauren Stichter (she/her) blends her passion for artistry with a profound commitment to accessible and equitable education. With a BFA in ceramics and a Teaching Certification from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, and an MA in education from Arcadia University, she has sculpted a career that harmonizes creativity and pedagogy. Over two decades, Stichter has not only refined her craft as a ceramic artist at HyMy Pottery Studio but has also served as a PreK–12 lead art teacher at the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. Her leadership at Moore College of Art & Design, where she currently serves as director and associate professor of Art Education, has been transformative, thanks to her ability to shape curriculum development, foster partnerships and ensure student success. Stichter's impact extends beyond academia, seen in her engagements as a keynote speaker, guest lecturer, advocate for inclusive education practices and professional development facilitator. In 2024, Stichter was the recipient of the Art Educator of the Year Award from the Council for Exceptional Children’s Division of Visual and Performing Arts Education.
