Ashley York earned her MFA in Ceramics from Tyler School of Art and Architecture and BFA in Sculpture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her art has been exhibited nationally at notable venues like NCECA, Carnegie Mellon, The Clay Studio, Katzen Art Center, and Green Hill Center for Art. Throughout her career, she's received numerous fellowships and residencies, including ones at Chautauqua School of Fine and Performing Art, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, and a tenure as the Emerging Artist in Residence at Millersville University.

Her artistic endeavors and written works have been featured in various literary-arts publications including contribution to the book Photography: History and Theory by Jae Emerling, which was published by Routledge New York and London in 2012. Currently, York holds the position of Digital Fabrication and Technicians Manager, along with teaching Digital Tools and Projects in Clay at Moore.
