Moore Shuttle Service
Moore provides shuttle service to help students get around to popular locations in Philadelphia.
Rules and Reminders
Before riding the shuttle:
- You must show the shuttle driver your Moore ID upon entry. Only Moore students can ride the shuttle.
- Check the shuttle schedule for that day! Make sure you know where you are going, what time the shuttle can take you and when/how you will be getting back to campus.
- Try to be in the lobby a little early! The shuttle operates on a first come, first serve basis and there are only 25 seats!
Important:
- The shuttle will leave Moore at each time listed on the calendar that day and then go to each stop in the order listed on the route.
- If you wish to take the shuttle back to Moore, you must return to the drop off location at a time that coincides with when the shuttle will be returning there according to the next time it is scheduled to leave Moore.
- If you take the shuttle somewhere during the last scheduled route to that location on that day, you will need to find your own transportation back to campus.
Transportation Assistance
Moore College of Art & Design is committed to providing inclusivity and opportunity amongst its student body. Commuter students can complete a Transportation Assistance Request Form to receive free transit passes to commute in Philadelphia via – bus, trolley, subway, or Norristown High Speed Line. Students are encouraged to apply for transportation assistance when other traditional methods of funding have been exhausted. Students are eligible to reapply for transportation assistance each semester.
Applications for transportation assistance are accepted on a rolling basis. Amount of assistance given is based on availability of funds. Applications for funding will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis and priority is given to commuter students and students who demonstrate financial need. Your application will be reviewed by key members in Student Affairs and Financial Aid and will be kept confidential.

Parking near Moore
Please note: Moore does not have campus parking. There are meters in front of the College and along 20th Street at which you may park during your visit. There are also several public parking facilities within walking distance. Information is available via the Philadelphia Parking Authority:
- The Edge Water Parking Garage has all day parking available for Moore students, faculty and staff for $16
- The Franklin Institute’s indoor parking garage is open 24 hours per day and is conveniently located off of 21st Street and is the closest choice.
- Kennedy House Garage: 1901 John F Kennedy Blvd
- LAZ Parking: 1815 Cherry Street
- Patriot Parking: 1901 Arch Street
- Central Parking: 1919 Arch Street
- Patriot Parking: 139 N. 23rd St (at Cherry Street)
- Patriot Parking: 22nd and Cherry Streets
- Logan Square Garage: 206 N. 22nd Street (at Race Street)
Please note about Metered Street Parking: The PPA is in the process of eliminating coin-operated meters and moving to a kiosk system. These kiosks accept a variety of payment methods (including credit cards) and issue a printed ticket you place inside your windshield. Our neighborhood is in the process of switching over, so make sure to read the signs carefully prior to leaving your car. Police regulations concerning on-street parking are strictly enforced, and cars may be towed at the owner’s expense. Both meters & kiosks accept quarters.
Take the New Jersey Turnpike South to Exit 4. Follow Exit 4, to Route 73 North. Follow Route 73 North to Route 38 West. Follow 38 West and continue over the Benjamin Franklin Bridge ($4.00 one way). Once over the bridge, you will be in Philadelphia.
Proceed straight onto 676 West (The Vine Street Expressway), which actually travels under the city street level. Exit at "Museum Area / Ben Franklin Parkway" (about 1.5 miles) and make a right off the exit ramp. Turn right at the traffic light onto The Ben Franklin Parkway.
Follow The Parkway to 21st Street, and make a right onto 21st. Proceed about two blocks to Race Street. Make a left onto Race Street and follow Race through the intersection at 20th Street. Moore will be ahead on your right.
Take I-95 North to Philadelphia. Drive past the Philadelphia International Airport and follow signs for 676 West (Vine Street Expressway – which is a LEFT EXIT.) Follow the Vine Street Expressway to the “Museum Area / Ben Franklin Parkway” exit, and make a right off the ramp.
Make a right at the first traffic light onto The Ben Franklin Parkway. Follow The Parkway to 21st Street, and make a right onto 21st. Proceed about two blocks to Race Street. Make a left onto Race Street and follow Race through the intersection at 20th Street. Moore will be ahead on your right.
Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike South (Northeast Extension, Rt. 476, formerly Rt. 9) to the main portion of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276). Continue on I-276 to exit 16 (Schuylkill Expressway, I-76).
Proceed east toward Central Philadelphia and get off at the Spring Garden exit. Make a left at the light toward the Philadelphia Museum of Art. You will merge with the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
Follow The Parkway to 21st Street, and make a right onto 21st. Proceed about two blocks to Race Street. Make a left onto Race Street and follow Race through the intersection at 20th Street. Moore will be ahead on your right.
Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276) East to Exit 16 (Schuylkill Expressway). Continue on the expressway, (I-76) east toward Central Philadelphia and exit at Spring Garden Street. Proceed up the ramp to the light and turn left toward the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
You will merge with the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Follow The Parkway to 21st Street, and make a right onto 21st. Proceed about two blocks to Race Street. Make a left onto Race Street and follow Race through the intersection at 20th Street. Moore will be ahead on your right.
