Dear Moore students, faculty & staff:

Due to a rapid rise in COVID-19 case counts, the City of Philadelphia has announced a shift to Level 2: Mask Precautions, as of next Monday, April 18. This means that the indoor mask mandate will be reinstated for businesses and institutions throughout the city.

As a result of this change, all Moore students, faculty and staff will be required to wear a mask while on campus. This requirement goes into effect on Monday, though you may begin wearing a mask prior to that time if you choose. As of Monday, the mandate will be applicable to all members of the Moore community, regardless of vaccination status, and will also apply to all campus visitors.

As of now, there are no changes that affect eating and drinking on campus, during events or otherwise. Should the situation evolve, we will alert you to any changes as they arise. Click here to learn more about the City’s response-level system.

We are hopeful that this will be a short wave of cases, especially as we have much celebrating to do in the weeks ahead. Stay safe and healthy, and thank you for your continued cooperation as we continue to navigate these changes together.

Best wishes,
Cecelia Fitzgibbon
