Moore College of Art & Design’s Graphic Design department is proud to host the 6th biennial MODE Summit from June 8–10!

Motion Design Education Summit (MODE) is a gathering of design educators centered on exemplary academic and creative pursuits in motion design that inform the design community and foster exceptional learning experiences. The MODE Summit is a platform to share content, creativity and scholarship. In past years, the summit has convened at the University of Notre Dame (2013), Dublin, Ireland (2015), Ohio State University (2017) and Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand (2019). Now it is Moore’s turn to represent in Philadelphia.

Keynote speakers include Deux Wave, a Philly-based mixed-media animation studio of tag team directors Tamara Hahn & Raymo Ventura, and Hugh Dubberly, a design thought leader and AIGA Fellow, who has worked with some of the best known firms in the world including Apple, Netscape, and Times Mirror.

And, in tandem with the MODE Summit conference, there will be MODE Fest. This event showcases the work of students and emerging motion designers who are creating some of the most imaginative motion design work today. A celebration and awards ceremony at Moore on Friday evening, June 9 at 7 pm will be open to all MODE attendees.
