Douglas Herren

Douglas Herren holds a BFA from Wichita State University and an MFA from Louisiana State University. Herren is known for his brightly painted large-scale ceramic sculptures that are hybrids of industrial equipment and traditional wheel-thrown pottery. Herren's work is included in the collections of the International Museum of Ceramics, Faenza, Italy; the Yenggi Museum of Taipei; Museum of Ceramics Quran, Alcora, Spain; Kamm Teapot Collection, Sparta, NC; and Fuller Art Museum, Brockton, MA. Most recently, an installation of Herren's work, titled Industria/Ware, was on display at Terminal A-West in the Philadelphia International Airport.
