Artist Statement

This is a large-scale photographic print of the inside of my eye with small, repetitive, hand-drawn marks over the surface. It took over 50 hours, and working on the piece was used as a therapeutic outlet for my Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Over time, the length of time spent on a piece has largely increased. During my first year at Moore, I discovered the work of Yayoi Kusama, which has greatly inspired and influenced my own work. My intention is to allow the image beneath the drawing to still be visible.
