Artist Statement
"Pitbulls are a vicious breed." We've heard this before, but is it true? Pitbulls often get a bad rep when it comes to their breeds but I believe they are misunderstood. There are many traits that make each dog unique. One of their qualities is being nurturing. However, pitbulls specifically have traits that can be misinterpreted as vicious. Their reputation is a result of their treatment, just like any other animal. "Treat others how you want to be treated" applies here because many pitbull owners use them in dog fights, which is essentially animal abuse. My goal is tell the true story of this breed. This project is a nonprofit and a series of infographs to represent pitbulls and their traits. My mission is to spread the word about pitbulls and their various breeds and how their traits can be misinterpreted.
