Strange Currencies Radio is here!
Broadcasting live from Traction Company’s Modular Studio Cube inside the exhibition Strange Currencies: Art & Action in Mexico City, 1990-2000, this is radio for all! Inspired by Taniel Morales' pirate radio broadcasts from Mexico City during the 1990s, Strange Currencies Radio is a social sculpture and public platform for sharing your ideas, words, or playlists.
Every Friday from 6-8PM Traction Company’s Modular Studio Cube is transformed into a live radio broadcast booth available for public use. Schedule your time slot in advance by contacting Matt Kalasky at firstname.lastname@example.org, or just show up and start talking! No prior DJing or technical experience required.
You can listen to Strange Currencies Radio on Moore’s campus by tuning into 95.1 FM, or on the internet at mixlr.com/the-galleries-at-moore
