Using Moodle/Course Development

Email Login

If it’s your first time logging in, you will find an email from IT Helpdesk that has all of your log-in instructions to Moodle.

Your Moore email account is the primary form of communication from the College so get used to checking it regularly to be sure you don’t miss any important information. But first, let’s make sure you can access your inbox. Just follow these simple step-by-step instructions:

Go to and click on Resources For... on the upper right-hand side of the homepage and select “Faculty” from the drop down menu. Choose Moore Email Login from the list. Enter your Username and Password.  

It is important that you check your Moore e-mail account as this will be used for all course correspondence other than information that is posted in your Moodle course. Remember to check your e-mail daily.



The home base for all courses at Moore is Moodle.  For each fully online or blended course offered, Moore Online collaborates with faculty to build a unique and robust course homepage within the Moodle learning management system. The course site allows student-to-teacher and student-to-student communication throughout the semester. Brick and mortar classes are expected to use Moodle for posting documents, grading and attendance.

In Moodle, you will:

  • Join your community of Moore colleagues to discuss your program, upcoming events and more.
  • Manage your course in a site specifically designed to support your online class including, scheduled assignments, document postings, class discussions in threaded forums, live chats, internet activities, video tutorials, slideshow presentations and online testing. Attendance and grading are expected to be updated weekly in Moodle. Brick and mortar classes are expected to use Moodle to post their syllabus and resources, taking attendance and grading.


Instructions for Moodle Log-in

Go to Click on “Resources for” in the upper right corner Click on “Faculty” Click on “Moodle Login”. Enter your login ID and password in the login panel and click “login”.
