Teachers Summer Institute

Teachers Summer Institute is a one-week, residential program designed to enhance the culture of teaching and empower learning in visual art.  The professionally directed program of studio-based workshops offers art educators the opportunity to recharge batteries, deepen personal direction, hone skills, expand concept development, and discover new applications for educational practice. Art Education Symposiums

Graduate Studies at Moore's MA in Art Education with an Emphasis in Special Populations offers two symposiums a year for teachers.  Teachers who attend are eligible to receive ACT 48 CREDITS for their participation.  Art Education Symposiums

Prepare your students

We encourage all high school art teachers to come visit our campus. You are welcome to go on a Student Ambassador guided tour, visit classes in session, speak to faculty, and have lunch with admissions staff. Please contact us to make arrangements.

Post-Baccalaureate  The Post-Baccalaureate program in Art Education is designed for individuals who have an undergraduate degree. The program offers opportunities to launch an exciting new career as an art teacher. Course requirements include proven teaching and learning practices in contemporary Art Education. Admission is based on college transcripts and portfolio review. 

Graduate Studies Moore’s unique graduate programs, MFA in Studio Art, MFA in Interior Design, and MA in Art Education, prepare motivated men and women with the skills, knowledge and resources to become professional artists, designers and teachers. All three programs recognize the critical value of professional exposure and require a field practicum, internship or international studio residency. These programs emphasize critical thinking, innovation and the synthesis of theory and practice. Self-directed research and rigorous inquiry are key components.
