YOUNG ARTISTS WORKSHOP

Inspiring Creativity, Building Skills, HAVING FUN

GRADES 3-5

Young artists in Classes for Grades 3-5 explore diverse ways of making art through activities that strengthen creative abilities and allow for unique ideas to blossom. Courses foster an understanding of basic art concepts and familiarity with a wide range of art tools and materials. 

  • Classes are Saturdays from 9-12 and 1– 4 pm
  • Students have morning and afternoon breaks as well as supervised lunches for which they may bring their own or purchase in the dining hall.
  • Choose according to your fall 2018 grade

Young artists in this class will explore a range of 2D and 3D media while engaged in exciting projects that foster creative skills. In the process of developing their abilities in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, cartooning, collage and more, they will become aware of the many possibilities for creative self-expression.  Diverse projects will provide opportunities for focusing on themes and topics of special interest to this age group. The goal of each session is to inspire the cultivation of an individual's unique gifts.  A variety of skilled and dedicated teachers will introduce a different range of artmaking activities each time the course is offered so that students will always be engaged by new experiences
