This event, which celebrates Earth Day, is the culmination of the inaugural college-wide project MOOREcycle. To date the project involves over 170 Moore students in upcycling materials that would otherwise end up in landfills. Moore students have built kites, and designed artwork and utilitarian products from these materials donated by Terracycle. The project is part of a cross-departmental effort that has a dual purpose based in sustainable practice.

  • View competition entries for the student design competition and enjoy craft projects.
  • Activities will be held in Aviator Park adjacent to the College, on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
  • The event coincides with second annual Philadelphia Science Festival being held by the Franklin Institute and the Philadelphia Book Festival at the Free Library of Philadelphia, both also on The Parkway.
