Attend a current Moore class or drop into a Moore student studio session. Free. Registration Required.

During Fall Alumni Days members of the Moore Alumni community are invited to observe current classes at Moore. Hear from professors and observe current students as they work in various disciplines. Alumni are welcome to drop into studio classes at their convenience. Please be respectful of the educational experiences. These are opportunities for observation only.   • Elizabeth Greenfield Zeidman Lecture with Visionary Woman Honorees Andrea Baldeck and Ursula von Rydingsvard, 12:30 pm, Free, no registration required
    Join us for a discussion with this year’s Visionary Woman Honorees, photographer Andrea Baldeck and sculptor Ursula von Rydingsvard.

  • *Visionary Woman Awards Ceremony, Gala and Dinner, 6 pm, $500 per ticket, $250 for young alumni.
    The Visionary Woman Awards celebrate the achievements of women leaders in art and design.  Please join us for the afternoon lecture, gala reception and dinner. Ticket sales support scholarships for Moore’s most talented undergraduate students.



Thursday, October 12

  • *Alumni Ambassador Workshop, 5 pm, Free, Registration Suggested
    Join Ennis Carter of Social Impact Studios for a workshop, specialized for Moore, that help an organization’s stakeholders become ambassadors for the organizations they represent. Learn more about Moore’s story and how you can be an alumni ambassador.
  • *Enamel Jewelry Making Workshop with Pat Rosenberg, 6:30 pm, $25 per person, all materials included
    Create an enamel pendant and earrings that you can take home with you in this special two-hour workshop.
  • *Wine and Wax, Encaustic Painting Workshop with Susan Beard Design Studios, conducted by artist, Leah MacDonald, 6:30 pm, $125, all materials and refreshments included
    Explore your creative limits by practicing encaustic painting imposed over photography. Artist Leah McDonald will guide you through this process by demonstration and one on one assistance in this two-hour workshop.


  • Galleries talk with artist Nick Lenker, 6:30 pm, Free, no registration required
    The Galleries at Moore welcome exhibiting artist Nick Lenker for a presentation on his work and practice. This event is in conjunction with Lenker's exhibition Recreation: First

Friday, October 13

  • *Private tour of the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Special Exhibition, The Perelman Building (2525 Pennsylvania Ave.) Philadelphia Assembled, followed by “Art After 5” entertainment at the Museum. 3:30 pm, $10 per attendee, registration required.
    The first exhibition of its kind at the Museum, Philadelphia Assembled joins art and civic engagement. Initiated by artist Jeanne van Heeswijk, together with hundreds of collaborators, the project explores Philadelphia’s changing landscape and tells a story of radical community building and active resistance.




Saturday, October 14

  • *Leadership Conference for Women in the Arts, 8:30 am- 4 pm, $10 per attendee, breakfast and lunch included, registration required.
    The 2017 Leadership Conference for Women in the Arts will be a full day of dynamic conversations and presentations exploring current topics related to women who are, or who are interested in being, leaders in art and design fields, including themes of entrepreneurship, goal setting, collaboration, social engagement, technology, citizenship, and more. This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Natalie Nixon, Director of Philadelphia University’s Strategic Design MBA.
  • *Post Conference Alumni Reception, 3:30 pm Free, registration required
    Following a day of stimulating talks, join fellow alumni to share your experiences and connect with one another over wine and light refreshments.
  • The Moore Galleries at the Kimmel Center Fall Alumni Exhibition will be on view beginning on Saturday, October 14. Stop by the Kimmel Center to view installations by recent Moore alumni Aimee Gilmore ’13 and Veronica Perez ’14 .

Alumni are invited to a series exclusive events in both the Fall and Spring in conjunction with landmark Moore events, the Visionary Woman Awards and Leadership Conference for Women in the Arts in the Fall, and the Alumni Exhibition Opening and Distinguished Alumni Awards in the Spring.
