JOSHUA WILKIN, DEAN OF STUDENTS

Dr. Joshua Wilkin joined Moore in August 2017 with over 15 years of experience in Higher Education.  His work history includes experience as a Residence Life Administrator at the University of Sciences in Philadelphia, Resident Counselor and Interim Assistant Director of Residential Life for Outreach and Judicial Affairs at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and, most recently, the Associate Director for Campus Life at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Master of Education degree in Student Personnel Services and Counseling in Higher Education from Widener University, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Higher Education Leadership, Management and Policy from Seton Hall University.

As Dean of Students, Joshua serves as the Chief Student Affairs Officer at the College, overseeing the Student Services division, in addition to serving as an advocate for students and their needs in contacts with faculty, staff, and other administrators.

 

RUTH GAYLE, DIRECTOR OF COUNSELING SERVICES

Ruth has been at Moore for 18 years and, therefore, has a great deal of experience working with artists. She provides individual counseling for students on a wide range of issues from college adjustment problems to more complex personal difficulties. She also serves as a liaison with outside psychologists and psychiatrists, as needed.

 

DIANE AZUMA, RN, DIRECTOR OF STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES

Diane came to Moore in the Fall of 1998. She has extensive background as a nurse in women’s health issues. She provides nursing care to students on a one to one basis for a wide range of acute and chronic health issues. She is a health advocate and patient education provider at Moore. She serves as a liaison for students with outside health care providers, as needed.

 

Slade Roff, ASSISTANT TO THE DEAN OF STUDENTS & STUDENT SERVICES COORDINATOR

Slade recently came to Moore in January 2015. She is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College where she studied Theater, Cultural Anthropology, and Languages. In her role, Slade works closely with the Student Services staff, serving as administrative assistant, but also overseeing events such as Commencement and Orientation. She also leads the Student Engagement Committee. 

 

EMILY JOHNSON, ASSISTANT DEAN OF STUDENTS

Emily manages rental events at Moore, working with outside organizations and individuals that want to rent the public spaces at the College. She also coordinates all community service events, including Alternative Spring Break, works with programs like Culture in the Classroom and Emerging Leaders in the Arts, and is in charge of the ID system and student run clubs. She has a background in the arts, having earned a BA in art history and taken numerous studio art and museum studies courses. She has been at Moore since the spring of 2006.

 

Matthew Point, Director of Residence Life

Matt joined the Moore Student Services team in March 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Shepherd University and a Master of Science in Higher Education from Drexel University. At Moore, Matt is responsible for occupancy management, supervising the Res Life Staff, student conduct, as well as helping to plan all of the fun residence hall programs & activities.
