The Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) requires a student’s written consent in order for Moore College of Art & Design to release confidential student records to a third party, except under limited exceptions cited in FERPA permitting release without consent.
The scholarship you have been awarded may require the College to disclose personal information (such as your name, city, state and zip code, demographic data, year in school, status, major, GPA, sources of financial aid, unmet need and award amount) to scholarship donors. The College recognizes the importance of student privacy and does not automatically send this information to a donor. The specified information will be made available only if requested by the donor. Students cannot be denied any educational services from Moore College of Art & Design if they refuse to provide consent, although refusal to give permission may preclude the student from eligibility for specific scholarships.
