CANDIDATE is an ongoing collaboration between artist team Lovett/Codagnone and musician Michele Pauli of legendary Italian band Casino Royale. CANDIDATE has been creating the sound component of Lovett/Codagnone's installations since 2008. In 2010 they performed as a band for the first time at Sculpture Center in Long Island City, NY. 

Since then CANDIDATE has performed in May 2012 at Museo Marino Marini in Florence, Italy (where they released their first album in the form of a vinyl/catalogue), MoMA PS1 in October 2012, and in November 2013 at The New Museum in New York City among other places. The band often collaborates with actors and writers within the context of their performances.  They have work with Sandra Ceccarelli, Emma Decorsey, Jim Fletcher, Gary Indiana, Marco Mazzoni, Julie Tolentino and Kate Valk.

Studio Conversations are free and open to the public held on Moore’s campus in Stewart Auditorium from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm.
