IN/Out: A Summer Symposium on Scales, Impact and Inclusion in Socially-Engaged Art
July 21 and 22, 2017
Co-convened by the Social & Studio Practices department at Moore College of Art & Design and Mural Arts Philadelphia
Through panel discussions and site visits, participants will explore the role that questions of scale have on the ability of socially-engaged art practices to impact communities.
The Symposium will feature a keynote address from Roberto Bedoya, the Natural History Museum/Not an Alternative and a day of programming at Taller Puertorriqueño, with multiple site visits to Philadelphia community arts organizations.
