Moore Announces 2012 Senior Awards

(Philadelphia, PA) On Wednesday evening, April 25, students, staff and faculty gathered at Moore for the 2012 Senior Show Awards Ceremony in the Great Hall. The Locks Career Center was able to present over $12,400 in 48 cash and in-kind awards to 39 students, including 10 new Best in Show awards. The ceremony immediately preceded the VIP reception for the 2012 Senior Show: Emerging Artists and Designers. With a total of almost 350 guests representing some of Philadelphia’s most ardent creative connectors and potential employers looking to recruit Moore talent, the VIP reception was a huge success. A number of artworks were sold and some exciting career opportunities are underway with several job interviews and possible commissions.

Works by seniors graduating from Moore's Bachelor of Fine Arts programs, representing all majors are on display in The Galleries at Moore April 25 – May 13. The show’s closing reception will take place on Saturday, May 12, 1 – 3 pm.

Moore College of Art & Design educates students for inspiring careers in art and design. Founded in 1848, Moore is the nation's first and only women's art college.
